Olfactory love letter in a vessel

Inspired by the 1930s, this scent object’s design is based on the concept of people sending their loved ones tin cans filled with letters, photos and even scented handkerchiefs during the World Wars. The cans would almost immortalise theses intimate connections even after the person was killed in action. The fonts are influenced by the period and the colour Lilac at the time symbolised hopefulness. All of the scents I used were inspired by The Great Unique (Monarch of the East), one of the Nine Songs of Chineses Shamanism from 3rd Century BC. The poem itself acts as a nutrition label for the can.
